The people behind the North Highland Way
The North Highland Way was first mooted back in 1992 by the local walking group, the Caithness Way Baggers. Unfortunately, they could not get any backing. LetsGoNorth was a tourism initiative promoting the north of Scotland. The North Highland Way was just one of its projects.

Now it is being taken forward by Ian Ellis who walked the full route and registered the route with Walkingworld. He is now trying to get assistance from anybody who would like to donate time and effort in any shape or form.
